Abstract

The discussion on National Insight is an important thing and absolutely must always be carried out continuously in line with the dynamics of the life process of the nation and state. National insight can be considered as the spirit or soul or spirit of the life of the nation which of course will color and even determine the existence and progress of a country. Pancasila as the basis of the State and at the same time as the philosophy or way of life of the Indonesian nation can basically be the main instrument in developing the insight of Indonesian nationalism. The existence of Pancasila as the state ideology is currently starting to erode, especially among the millennial generation. There are at least six reasons, namely: First. obstacles to implementing Pancasila due to structural-functional reasons, Second, obstacles to implementing Pancasila due to identity politics, Third, majority-minority problems, Fourth, conservatism and radicalism, Fifth, barriers to Pancasila enforcement due to racism and SARA and Sixth, obstacles to implementing Pancasila due to hyper- nationalism. For this reason, it is necessary to revitalize the values of Pancasila in society so that it can re-develop national insight in Indonesia. Efforts that can be made are by practicing and realizing the values contained in Pancasila. There are several forms of revitalization that can be developed, namely: first, political literacy in the family, second, political literacy in schools, third, special extracurricular Four Pillars, fourth, political literacy in socio-religious activities, fifth, interreligious dialogue, sixth, creating a forum for studies and movements that focus on developing inclusive values, especially in the campus environment, seventh, education and training which places more emphasis on efforts to produce Pancasila actors, trainers or teachers and eighth, media literacy. With the correct understanding of the meaning and significance of the Pancasila precepts, and how to apply them correctly, it will have an impact on the growth of national insight by the millennial generation.
