Abstract

The rapid changes which occur in the Meeting, Incentive Tour, Conference, and Exhibition (MICE) industry in Indonesia can be seen from several factors, including the MICE’s history in Indonesia, the supporting regulations, and the impacts and opportunities of the MICE Industry as well. The success of holding international congresses and conferences in Indonesia since the period of struggle and the beginning of independence, the impact of the MICE industry as an economic driver, and opportunities in the form of human resources and natural resources have made the government pay attention to the development of the MICE industry in Indonesia.
