Abstract
The existence of Kerja Bermakna Berkarya Credit Union (CU) is very helpful for the community in obtaining loans for micro business capital and household needs. Loans in circulation at Kerja Bermakna Berkarya CU have increased every year. However, the Covid-19 pandemic conditions resulted in the members’ inability to pay installments on time, resulting in problem credit. This study aims at determining the amount of third party funds disbursed in the form of credit and the amount of nonperforming loans at the Kerja Bermakna Berkarya CU from 2019 to 2021 in terms of Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Non-Performing Loan (NPL). The LDR ratio from 2019 to 2021 resulted in: 78.92% (2019), 60.64% (2020), and 68.98% (2021). The amount of third party funds disbursed in the form of credit has not been optimal in Kerja Bermakna Berkarya CU, because the LDR is still below the standard of 80% - 90%. The NPL ratio from 2019 to 2021 resulted in: 1.37% (2019), 6.86% (2020), and 6.64% (2021). Non-performing loans in 2019 (before the covid-19 pandemic) were still low, because they were below 5%, while non-performing loans in 2020 and 2021 were in the high category (above 5%). The high NPL in 2020 and 2021 is caused by the community having difficulties in repaying the loans. The high NPL causes liquidity problems, low institutional capital growth, and decreased residual income.
