Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven a revolution in the financial sector, marked by the increasing use of digital-based financial services. This condition provides ease of access for the public, but at the same time increases complexity in individual financial management. Individuals with low financial literacy tend to be vulnerable to consumptive behavior, excessive debt usage, and risky investments. Conversely, individuals with good financial literacy levels tend to be more selective in using digital financial services. Financial literacy becomes an important factor in determining the quality of financial decision-making in the digital era. This research was conducted to examine the role of financial literacy in financial decision-making during the digital financial revolution era. The approach is qualitative with a literature study method through a review of books, journal articles, official reports, and relevant scientific publications. The data found were analyzed descriptively-qualitatively to identify the relationship between financial literacy, digital financial development, and individual financial behavior. The research results show that financial literacy plays a significant role in enhancing individuals' ability to understand digital financial products, manage risks, and make rational, long-term oriented financial decisions. From this research, it can be concluded that strengthening financial literacy is a primary prerequisite for creating responsible financial decision-making in the era of the digital financial revolution. Therefore, synergy is needed between the government, educational institutions, and the financial industry in developing sustainable financial education programs.
