Abstract
This study aims to examine the prevalence of academic procrastination among students and the factors contributing to it. This is a descriptive quantitative study, with students from the Office Administration Study Program at ASM Marsudirini Santa Maria Yogyakarta, batch 2023 and 2024. Students’ academic procrastination was measured using a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS. Open-ended questions were used to identify the contributing factors. The results showed that most students' academic procrastination was in the moderate category, with 68.3% of respondents reporting a moderate level of academic procrastination. Factors influencing student academic procrastination include: 1) poor psychological well-being, 2) difficulty understanding assigned course material, 3) exposure to gadgets, such as internet surfing, watching TikTok, and other apps, 4) long assignment deadlines, 5) distractions from friends inviting them to play, and 6) poor time management skills.
