Abstract

In organizational contexts, office serves a vital role as an information centre. The Academic Administration Division (BAA) at ASM Marsudirini Santa Maria functions as the central node for managing and disseminating information related to the learning process. It provides informational services to both internal and external stakeholders. This study aims to explore the extent of BAA’s role as an information centre in supporting academic activities. One of the recurring challenges in office environments is the effective management of information and the availability of essential resources. This research adopts a qualitative approach, wherein information service data are interpreted qualitatively, grounded in the advancements of information technology. The findings reveal that BAA undertakes critical functions, including information storage, dissemination, decision-making support, and facilitation of collaboration in the use of academic information. To fulfil these functions effectively, BAA is supported by key resources that generally meet institutional standards, such as qualified human resources, appropriate technological infrastructure, established procedural systems, and adequate physical workspaces. Although these resources require continuous development, the overall performance of BAA in delivering academic information services is deemed capable of addressing the diverse informational needs of its stakeholders.
