Abstract

This qualitative research aims at describing the management of the Commission II Faculty Senate Meeting of the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Gadjah Mada University. The data were collected through interviews, participant observation and documentation. The data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The management of the management of the Commission II Faculty Senate Meeting of the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Gadjah Mada University is good, both in planning, preparation, implementation and follow-up to meetings. This is supported by the high-quality and committed human resources, clear regulations, adequate supporting facilities, and the use of reliable information system applications (WA poll, SIMASTER, and SIPINTER). However, improvements are still needed for the effectiveness and efficiency of meetings in the future: invitations should be delivered at least three days before the meeting, reading of the meeting results and confirmation of the follow-up to the meeting results before the meeting is closed, and elements of the contents of the minutes written in full.
