Abstract
Indonesia is a country that has a diversity of cultures, ethnicities, religions, languages and races. This diversity is a distinctive feature of the nation's wealth and identity. The historical reality is not spared from the current state of the Indonesian nation, where there is struggle, a sense of belonging, the same feelings, and the aim to unite in order to achieve common goals. . Respect for others accompanied by mutual respect and non-judgmental is the key to the reflection of tolerance. Good attitude and behavior as citizens can respect each other, accept differences, and circumstances so that they can coexist peacefully, in harmony, and cooperate in overcoming various problems that occur. All religions uphold the values of peace and harmony, also teach the values of tolerance. But in reality, not all accept and understand the meaning of diversity. So tolerance is the solution to mutual recognition, respect and respect for one another. Because in the concept of tolerance there are values of love, wisdom, universal benefit and justice. With tolerance, it is hoped that the millennial generation will be able to recognize diversity including the diversity of religions, values of humanism, brotherhood, peace, democracy and justice. By building tolerance for the millennial generation, a millennial generation will be born who upholds these values in the life of the nation and state.
