Abstract

The role of Public Relations (pr) is increasingly important in line with developments in information and communication technology. Public relations has a role as a management function that manages communication in bridging the interests of the organization and the interests of various publics to achieve mutual understanding, increase understanding and foster public sympathy. In this regard, understanding PR media, both media that cannot be controlled by PR (mass media) and media that can be controlled by PR (controlled media), such as features, various kinds of house journals, various company books, backgrounds and fact sheets are very important. In addition to understanding, technical mastery of writing homework as an instrument is a must. However, in reality, some public relations practitioners do not have an understanding of controlled media, do not realize the importance of controlled media, so they cannot take advantage of controlled media as an instrument to help build the company's image as one of the public relations functions.
