Abstract
Effective leadership is viewed as the key to organizational success. Behind the effectiveness of leadership, there is a strong and good leader. Achievement of a leader is supported by personality. Dimensions of personality according to the five factor models consist of extraversion/introversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism/emotion stability, and openness to experience. A kind of leadership style is transformational leadership. The essence of transformational leadership is to develop the organization by inspiring followers with the vision that has to be reached. It has been developed to five factors and tenspecific behaviors in transformational leadership i.e. challenging the process, inspiring a shared vision, enabling others to act, modelling the way, encouraging the heart. The success of transformational leadership is influenced by the dimensions of the personality of the leader.
