Abstract
Organizations need to have employees having good motivation to achieve effective and efficient goals. The reality, however, the employees’ situations are different. Therefore, traditional model, human relations model, and human resource model have different assumptions about the employees’ work attitude. Those differences have created various motivational theories. The leader of organization is responsible for motivating the employees. Therefore, he needs to address those different situations. Technical skills, conceptual ability, analytical ability, and human relations ability contribute to the employees’ motivation. Leaders need to continuously develop those four leadership abilities to enable them behave authoritatively, democratically, or freely controlled to create, improve, or maintain the employees’ work motivation to achieve the organization’s goals.
