Abstract

Territorial awareness is an important thing that must be owned by the Indonesian people in facing threats to National Security in the era of Globalization. Globalization can affect the life of the nation and state either directly or indirectly. Globalization which has an impact on the life of a country including Indonesia, Openness and individual freedom which are characteristics of western democracy increasingly dominate the mindset, attitude and pattern of action of the nation's next generation. The spirit of gotong royong, which is the soul and spirit contained in Pancasila, is starting to be put aside and ignored. For this reason, it is necessary to increase awareness and spirit of nationalism. Instilling the spirit of nationalism and strengthening the character of the nation for all generations of the nation will strengthen the unity and integrity of the nation in order to realize the success of national security. In addition, awareness is needed for every Indonesian citizen to have the spirit of the nation's struggle in the form of a non-physical struggle in the form of tenacity and toughness which contains the ability to develop national strength in order to face all threats, disturbances, challenges and obstacles both coming from outside and from within, to guarantee the identity, integrity, survival of the nation and state as well as the struggle to achieve national goals. The second has awareness and care about the influences that arise in the aspects of ideology, politics, economy, socio-culture and defense and security, so that every Indonesian citizen, individually or in groups, can eliminate these influences.
