Abstract
This study aims to determine consumer responses to the price attribute of merchandise in terms of consumer characteristics. Data was obtained by distributing 100 questionnaires to respondents living in the Sleman district. The method used in this research is Chi-Square analysis. The analysis results show that there is no difference in consumer responses to merchandise prices in terms of consumer characteristics. The results of this study can be used as a consideration for developing a pricing strategy to handle the competition and get profits as desired.
