Abstract

The current economic situation filled with high uncertainty as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, requires companies to make the right decisions to be able to maintain the company's viability. One of them is tactical decision making. It is the selection of decisions among various alternatives with immediate or limited results. MSME Melati Phia and Bakery located in Aimas Sorong Regency, West Papua is one of the MSMEs producing bread affected by the current economic decline. Therefore, MSME Melati Phia and Bakery must decide an alternative that will allow MSMEs to survive in a difficult economic situation. This research was conducted to find out which alternative is more profitable for Melati Phia and Bakery, namely between selling bread at a discount or further processing it into dry bread with differential cost analysis. The analysis is carried out by comparing the profit differential between the alternative of selling bread at a discount or processing it further into dry bread. The result of the analysis shows that the company must take various actions in several situations when it decides to choose the alternative of processing further or selling at a low price.
