Abstract

In writing the final project, many students find it difficult because scientific writing requires adherence to linguistic rules. Actually, the students are used to writing activities, almost all of which are closely related to the secretarial field. So with the habit of writing, the writing ability should be better. In practice, it turns out that there are some students who experience problems in writing the final project, the results of the interview at a glance are basically about the preparation of ideas and the application of linguistic rules. In terms of overcoming difficulties, ideas can still be overcome through the references provided in the library. Meanwhile, the linguistic rules are easier to learn because the sources are only from the EYD book and several additional books. In general, during the guidance of writing the final project, the lecturers found several students who had problems with writing such as the use of the alphabet, both vowels and consonants, diphthongs, prefixes and prepositions, writing capital letters, writing foreign terms, loan words, italic, bold. , etc., while consonant consonants are not a problem. With this condition, it is necessary to provide special preparation in writing the final project related to linguistic material, especially Indonesian, in addition, students are asked to always look at the Perfected Spelling (EYD) book, if they experience doubts in writing words or sentences. Likewise, lecturers have a very important role in this scientific writing process, so it is necessary to check carefully and even repeatedly to maintain the quality of student writing related to scientific writing.
