Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020 provided a challenging situation for the world of higher education. The learning process that previously took place face-to-face, must switch to online. All parties such as the government, education managers, students and the community must have a new and clear paradigm regarding online learning. Online learning is theoretically considered better than face-to-face learning. Online learning encourages students to be actively involved in learning, to have initiative, creativity, ability to work in groups, and the ability to solve problems independently. Online learning has positive and negative aspects. Some of the advantages of online learning include the freedom of students in choosing the place and time to study, easy access to learning, and easy-to-run discussion forums. While some of the weaknesses of online learning include the lack of physical interaction between students, plagiarism, and not all disciplines can effectively use e-learning in the learning process. There are several obstacles in the implementation of online learning in higher education. A common problem of online learning in higher education is the problem of internet quotas and internet networks. In addition, other technical problems faced by students include the outage of the PLN network, difficulties in sending assignments online, teaching material books that are less than ideal, and assignments from lecturers that students do not understand.
