Abstract

Fluctuations in hotel guest arrival rates between the high and low seasons can affect the performance of front office employees. This study aims to examine the influence of the high season (X₁) and low season (X₂) on front office employee performance (Y) at Tara Hotel Yogyakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression and correlation analyses with a sample of 45 respondents. The results indicate that the high season has a strong positive correlation with employee performance (r = 0.741), while the low season has a correlation coefficient of 0.746. Partially, the high season has a positive and significant effect on front office employee performance (t = 3.074, p = 0.004), as does the low season (t = 3.225; sig. = 0.002). Simultaneously, the high season and low season have a positive and significant effect on front office employee performance (F = 37.054, p = 0.001), with a multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0.799. The adjusted R² value of 0.621 indicates that 62.1% of the variance in front office employee performance can be explained by the high season and low season variables.
