Abstract
Catechesis as a process of faith communication presupposes the existence of subjects and objects as well as communication media. The communication of the people's faith is guided by the Catechist as the Facilitator. The facilitator plays a role in regulating the cooperation of the people for active dialogue in groups. The process of communicating the faith of the people is carried out in eight steps of the sequence of catechesis activities. It is a systematic order into a unified whole that cannot be separated. This means that step one to eight support one another and clarify one of the goals of faith communication, i.e. to mature the faith of the people. Those eight stages are 1. Theme analysis, 2. Delivery of goals, 3. Goals to be achieved, 4. Disclosure of life problems, 5. Priority of problems, 6. Scripture as the Light of God's Word; 7. Problem solving, 8. Closing: Conclusion and Intention to grow. The beginning and end of the catechesis activity begins with a prayer and an opening song as well as a prayer and a closing song. The highlight event is “Problem solving.” The catechesis participants were given the opportunity to offer a prayer of supplication and the Lord's Prayer as confirmation. Prayer requests are arranged as an expression of gratitude and at the same time a request so that people can overcome their problems in life. The source of inspiration for solving life's problems is the light of God's Word from the Holy Scriptures. Scripture passages are analyzed and pondered together in small groups. The next process is the processing of Growing Intentions. This section begins with a prayer of supplication and confirmation which is completed by a brief discussion of catechetical themes at the next meeting. The themes have been prepared by the facilitator. These themes are offered to the catechesis to be selected as priority themes in the next catechesis meeting. The goal is that catechesis participants can strengthen and clarify the purpose of their growth intentions in small groups.
