Abstract

Culture is formed from supporting communities with various colors and types depending on the natural conditions where they live. Under these conditions, culture has different forms; there is no cultural uniformity in this world. Likewise, the American people, who have a very large territory with different geographic conditions, also have different cultural characteristics. The ancient culture of Native American people had a long process to become the Super Power country are they are today. In fact, they also experienced the loss of cultural evidence that was once owned by Native American people, namely the Indians. Some of the reasons for their loss are because they do not realize that cultural heritage is important in the lives of their people in the future, so they do not maintain or defend the cultures they have. Besides there are losses due to clashes with other cultures, whether from the same region or from other regions, even from other continents such as European nations which have an advanced literacy culture. Knowing and studying the ancient culture of the American people, namely the Indians. can be a reference in developing culture for other nations, such as Indonesia, which has a pluralistic society like American society. It is important to note that the American people still really value their old culture.
