Abstract

This article is the result of research on fficial correspondence at STIKes Panti Rapih Yogtakarta. The purpose of this research is to describe the oficial correspondence procedures at srlKes Panti Rapih Yogtalmrta. The author conducted a research with a qualttative approach using several data collection methods, namely interviews, observation, documentation, and parttcipatton. Data analysis was performed using descriptive methods. The types of fficial letters under study are focused on invitatton letters, assignments, decrees, and certtJicates because these fficial letters are often used by srlKes Panti Rapih Yogtalcarta. In" general, the correspondence of fficial servibes at Panti Rapih pantt Yogtakarta is good becsuse there.is a match between the contents of ffictal letters with the types of fficial letters made; the choice of words inthe fficial letterhas appliedtheprinciple ofgenerality, rtgidity, clarity, and not long-winded so that the message to be conveyed by letter is easily understood by the reader; all completeness of the letter has beenfulfilted, such as signatures, stamp$ letter folds, and letter envelopes; and the technique of making letters has been goingwell and coherently so that the required letters can be completed quickly and accurately. Considering that tltere are still some shortcomings, the suggestion that is proposed is the need for more intensive fficial correspondence training for employees and guidelines for prepartng fficial letters should be drown up that refer to the Minister of Research, Technologt, and Higher Education Regulations on Oficial Manuscripts.
