Abstract

Digital talent management is one of the key components behind the successful acceleration of digital transformation in the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 era. Industry 4.0 is a big revolution in terms of technological progress with the main pillars: big data and analytics; autonomous robots, simulation, horizontal and vertical system integration, industrial internet of things (IoT), cloud, additive manufacturing, augmented reality (AR), and cybersecurity. Society 5.0 aims at improving people's life quality by leveraging the capabilities of industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 and society 5.0 require organizations to carry out digital transformation. Ownership of digital talent is inevitable to accelerate the implementation of digital transformation. However, the demand for and supply of digital talent in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 is imbalance. The Gartner Digital Talent Management Framework can be used to prepare digital talent by: integrating workforce planning with information and technology strategic planning processes; implementing a holistic and integrated approach to build workforce capabilities through recruiting, renewing, retaining, and releasing; assessing the effectiveness of talent management strategies and programs by linking individual and team performance objectives to business results.
