Abstract

Performance of secretary’s job are determined by some factors. One of the factors is office layout. Secretary’s office layout should be designed to achieve work productivity and efficiency. There are two types of office layout, closed and open plan office. Decision to choose between the two office layouts depends on job characteristics. Designing office layout for secretary should consider some aspects: the work flow, the organizational chart, projection of employees needed in the future, the communication network, private and general offices, specialized areas, safety considerations, environmental conditions, equipment and furniture.
