Abstract
This study aims to determine how high the achievement motivation of the first level of secretary students. It also aims to determine the factors determining the achievement motivation level of students. This study is a qualitative research. The subjects were the first level of secretary students in 2015/2016. Students’ achievement motivation was measured using questionnaire and analysed using SPSS. While the factors determining the achievement motivation level of students was measured using open questionnaire. The results showed that the majority of achievement motivation level of students belonged to the medium category (66%). It was also concluded those factors can be grouped into four factors, namely parental support factor, peer support factor, self-efficacy factor and personality factor. And the dominant factor for this case is parental support factor (52.3%). Keywords: achievement motivation, parental support, peer support, self-efficacy, personality factor
