Abstract

A higher education can compete in the global era if it is able to meet the need of its stakeholders to address the moral and ethic degradation and the individual ignorance within the society. These degradation and ignorance deprave the harmony and peace within the society that is rooted to a mutual understandingfor common goodness (just and prosperous society). The society accepts and appreciates a higher education when it is able to respond the expectations and the concerns of the society. Thus. a higher education should produce high quality graduates to change and improve the social structure and the social world With their expertise. knowledge. skills. attitudes and strong will. these graduates should be excellent agents of social change. In this case, the curriculum of a higher education should be able to equip and lead students to have excellent leadership skills and high quality characters in other for them to be the agents of change because only wise and true leaders can promote and lead people to achieve superior aims and objectives.
